- Hmm, spent several months in Florence last year, had an apartment right near the San Lorenzo Market. I was out at night, and certainly don't look particularly Italian, and I never had any issues. This is really unusual in Tuscany. That is why it made the news.

- My given name is Susan. Growing up in the 60's, there were always at least three Susans in each class. A doctor I had (and liked very much) one time called me Suze, and the name stuck. I like it much better than Sue or Susan or the detestable Suzie. Uggh.
